Our Tournament for Round 4 of the regular season was on 31 October at Lambert.


Pope won two medals with Ana Cristian taking silver and Sydney Higginbotham taking bronze.

Of the 40 Pope fencers who competed, 8 earned points for themselves and their team by finishing in the top 16 of their event. In addition to the medal winners, they were Erin Maurer (5th), Lyndsay Wagner (11th) and Erika Sprecher (13th) for the women and Keegan Ellington (9th), Jacy Goldring (15th – his first points) and Mile Goldring (16th) for the men.

Four Pope fencers set new personal bests, they were Lyndsay Wagner (11th), Jacy Goldring (15th), Dillon Loubser (26th) and Jett Smith (52nd).

Erika earned her Varsity Letter this weekend by earning more than 52 points for the season.

Ana, Sydney and Erin remain in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively in the women’s standings, Erika moves up to 24th and Lyndsay to 33rd, Ellie is 37th and Rebecca is 51st. In the men’s standings, Keegan is 9th, Chris Dong is 36th, Myles moves up to 40th, Roman is 42nd, Bonga is 57th, Jacy enters the rankings at 57th, Patrick and Josh are tied for 61st.

The Pope women widened their lead at the top of the team standings and are now 49 points ahead of Chattahoochee. The men remain in 5th place, 51 points behind Chattahoochee and 5 points ahead of Johns Creek. The combined teams are in 3rd place 2 points behind Chattahoochee.

The host has announced the following times.

  • Doors open at 7:30 AM
  • The referee meeting is at 8:00 AM
  • Men’s sign in closes at 8:30 AM
  • Women’s sign in closes at 9:30 AM

If you are fencing you should arrive no later than 30 minutes before sign in closes to give time to sign in and warm up. Referees and scorekeepers should arrive in time for the referee meeting.
There will be a concessions stand.


The address of Lambert High School is 805 Nichols Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024.

The tournament will be in the Cafeteria and the Aux Gym. The scoring and armorers’ tables will be in the cafeteria. There is building work going on at the front of the school; park in the main parking lot off Nichols Rd and walk between the fenced off building site and the temporary site office to get to the lower front entrance to the school. Sign in will be in the hallway near the door. The aux gym is on the right as you enter the school and the cafeteria is down the hallway and on the right.
