Results of the Late November Tournament

Our late November tournament was at Northview, and the other GHSFL tournament was held at Johns Creek. A league record 274 fencers competed in the two tournaments. 351 fencers have competed so far this season, which is also a record.

Congratulations to Ana on her second gold medal, to Erin her silver (Erin has been in the final in all five tournaments so far this year) and to Keegan on his second bronze medal.

Yearbook Pictures

Beginning at 8:45 on Thursday, November 20th, Prestige Portraits will be taking pictures in the main gym of clubs for the Pope Yearbook. Please wear your team t-shirt to school that day. We should find out over the next few days what time the Fencing Club’s picture will be taken, and the school will provide passes for fencers to get out of class at that time.

Our early November tournament was at Chattahoochee.

This was the 25th straight tournament in which Pope has won a medal, with Erin Maurer winning gold in the women’s event. Congratulations to Erin as well as to our two new ranked fencers: Erika Sprecher and Chase Poorman.
